Overview:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations within a fast-paced audiovisual (AV) production environment. This role ensures that all audio, video, lighting, staging, and related equipment is properly maintained, inventoried, prepped, and returned in alignment with event schedules.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing teams while working with professional AV equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, staging, prep, and returns
Prioritize projects based on event schedules and production timelines
Plan workflow and manage crew scheduling to meet deadlines
Delegate tasks efficiently to maximize productivity
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Ensure proper handling, testing, and storage of sensitive AV equipment
Event Preparation & De-Prep:
Oversee all event prep and de-prep processes for audio, video, lighting, and staging equipment
Track all upcoming events and ensure each job is properly prepared according to pull sheets and production specifications
Verify gear functionality prior to outbound shipments
Ensure equipment is properly checked in, tested, and returned to inventory after events
Identify damaged or missing equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate, real-time inventory of all AV equipment and assets
Conduct routine cycle counts and inventory audits
Monitor asset availability to avoid scheduling conflicts
Familiarity with Current RMS is a plus, but not required
Logistics & Coordination:
Coordinate with the Senior Project Manager and Truck Driver regarding all incoming and outgoing deliveries, pickups, and returns
Ensure trucks are loaded accurately and efficiently
Confirm proper documentation for transfers and returns
Communicate proactively regarding shortages, substitutions, or scheduling conflicts
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong leadership experience in a warehouse or production environment
Working knowledge of professional AV equipment and its uses (audio, video, lighting, rigging, staging)
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
Strong task delegation and crew management skills
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in live event production or AV rental environments
Familiarity with Current RMS inventory software
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
OSHA safety knowledge or training
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods
Comfortable loading/unloading trucks and handling production equipment
Compensation Includes:
Full Time starting at $20/hour
